Maureen is a representational artist who works from direct observation.  currently her subject matter includes ceramic and rubber ducks, candy, cookies and flowers.  Maureen likes to combine these subjects with bright or boldly patterned fabrics.  She ahs favorite fabrics which include Marimekko, polka dots, stripes and a somewhat  Chinese influenced green floral fabric which she has used for many years.

 

Maureen was born in herkimer, New York and moved to Boston as a young child where she took art classes at the Boston Museum of fine Arts.  Later, she moved to Vermont where she spent her teenage years.  maureen came back to boston to attend art school and has lived there ever since.
